The Challenged Athletes Foundation Event at The Cove in La Jolla (click HERE
to see video!)...what an event
(see pics) a full triathlon attracting thousands of spectators and participants, plus a 5 hour
non-stop Spinathon. AG supplied the musical support and entertainment for about 2.5+ hours of the Spinners'
ride, right there on the lawn at The Cove, complete with beautiful late fall day (HOT, nay, ROASTING). This was the first
event CAF tried with
live music, as they usually just used pre-recorded music to conduct the Spin. And, well, it brought it to a "whole new level"
(see testimonial)! The event featured a Vegas- inspired theme ("Viva La Jolla"... see Sept. 13 update for a re-cap on the pre-event party) so there were LOTS of
Elvises -would the plural be Elvi?- and festive, gaudy apparel. Carrie & The AG Fly Girlz donned their fishnets and showgirly attitude (see
pic below) and the band again showcased our extreme versatility by starting out with jazzy, vegas-show tunes and bridged right into everything from old
school funk to classic rock to current pop. Sporting a 14 piece band, including our saxy guy Chris, we did our best to keep the spirits of the
spinners up as they rode their hearts out in support of this great cause... all the way to the 5 hour finish. Even Robin Williams, who participated
in both the triathlon and the Spinathon made sure he still had enough energy to come back stage to say "Nice band!"

Guillermo's 50th b-day was rocking (see pics below), and wife Joyce put it all together perfectly, which included making sure the rain didn't come until
the very end of the party. This backyard party had a gorgeous view of the entire downtown skyline and it was a pleasure to play with such fun
folks, complete with our favorite guest trumpeter (and friend of b-day boy), Dennis. Joyce raved
(see testimonial) as she said her guests raved,
too, and all eight of us (Core Band plus three) had a delightful time with this good group of friends and family for Guillermo's big 5-0.

We were thankful to have such a fun Happy Hour before the big T-Day week, inviting our saxy, flutely, rappy guy Chris and lots of Fly Girlz and
lots of Groovin'!

This post T-day L'Auberge show was the official beginning of the holiday season, as the Carrie Weiland/Atomic Trio got festive and did our
usual fun piano-bar vibe along with some holiday favorites. L'Auberge pulls out all the stops and decorates the lobby beautifully, so-ho-ho it was
easy to get in the spirit (see pic below)!
