March 2007
Fri. March 2
Happy Happy Joy Joy... another couple of very happy hours at our monthly Happy Hour Belly Up Tavern with about 250+ of our bestest AG
friends... Carrie, Chris & Anthony were visibly happy... click HERE to see just how happy the crowd was... and the headliners of the nite, The
fabulous Pine Mountain Logs (aka Venice) were as happy to pose with Carrie & Fly Girlz as we were to pose with them!

Sat. March 3
What an awesome b-day/friend appreciation party thrown by and for b-day girl Julie at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe... Julie was so incredibly
happy to have us (just what we wanted, more happiness carrying over from last nite's Belly Up show, we even saw some familiar faces!), just
check out Julie's testimonial! Julie glowed, as her friends expressed their love for her, both with a special song and with everyone packing the
dance floor all nite long!

Fri. March 9
We're back! We played the school fundraiser for La Costa Meadows back in 2005... they of course missed us dearly in 2006, so they had us
return for 2007. And we happily joined in on this year's disco theme as this this rowdy (all in good fun!) group of parents took to the dance floor
immediately...we had a hard time sitting them back down for dinner, actually... and they then proceeded to take over the stage (with
Entertainment Coordinator Lisa gracing the stage and leading class) as we got rollin', which was fine by us, since they had such a blast, see
testimonial!

Fri. March 16
Another Serve San Diego fundraiser shindig, complete with lots of green and plenty o'shamrocks. We got to feature FlyGirl Jana doing some
back up vocs in addition to her usual FlyGirl grooving with Carrie and our favorite saxophonist/conga guy/rapper Chris!

Sat. Mar. 17
In another display of our extreme versatility, we showcased ourselves as the "Atomic Fifties Band" (the Core Band), dedicating an entire
afternoon to playing favorites from the 40s, 50s and early 60s at this double b-day party (grandpa turned 70 yrs. old, grand daughter turned 1).
This intimate Rancho Santa Fe backyard family party included an Elvis impersonator and some fancy jitterbugging and we donned our
nifty fifties apparel to join in the fun!

Fri. Mar. 23
More happiness and joy, this at our monthly show at the lobby lounge as the Carrie Weiland Atomic Trio featuring AG singer Carrie on vocs and
AG players Rob on piano/vocs and Burt on bass/vocs... this is our "acoustic, piano-bar styled" show, ranging from classic jazz to... whatever
gets requested! And that nite we had some doozies, as much of the AG FlyGirl posse showed up for FlyGirl's Cheryl Bachorlette party! Cheryl
even took the mic and belted out her signature "My Favorite Things" and she and the other FlyGirlz couldn't help themselves as they performed
an impromptu routine or two of various "acoustic" disco hits to the packed lobby lounge audience.

Sat. Mar. 24
"Party Like A Rock Star" for Sharon's 40th in Carlsbad, and that's exactly what 150 her favorite folks, did just for her. This backyard party rocked
and rolled with just the Core band PLUS a special guest appearance by Bono of U2 (ok, he is an impersonator, but a darn good one and a
really nice guy, see March pics
page!). Atomic U2 backed "Bono" for a couple of songs, which was a kick, and this party rocked HARD all nite
long, with many of the guests doing up their own version of a "Rock Star" with all sorts of fun, theme inspired attire, including us... see
bassist Burt with his total Rock Star hair.... and guitarist Mark posing with his version of a Rock Star attitude and singer Carrie with, well, just giddy with
Rock Stardom!

Sat. Mar. 31
The Atomic Trio plus sax guy Chris (which makes for The Atomic Quartet, I guess!) playing Tom & Bernadette's afternoon backyard family
party at a beautiful hilltop home in Poway. Everyone celebrated Tom's b-day and it was a bit of reunion of sorts as Atomic Groove (the bigger
version of the band) played at Tom & Bernadette's wedding back in 1999!
