What a joyous December for Atomic Groove! Lots of shows...including company holidays parties large & small, an intimate birthday party, an outrageous Atomic Groove/Frog's Fitness Xmas Sold Out show and a superduper New Year's Eve with our friends in Rancho Santa Fe! We got everything we wanted and more for this holiday season, and we were so happy to give just as much, too! AG is so appreciative and blessed to have so many dear friends and fans for the holidays, and all year long!

Our two public appearances were def the highlights of this month. We returned to our fave dance club in downtown San Diego- Humphrey's By The Bay Backstage NiteClub. What a cool intimate setting with a very dance happy vibe!
And our November Happy Hour was a special edition performance on the Wed. before Thanksgiving- what a great turnout and a great calorie burn, too! We featured an interactive performance of Tribal Cardio Energy w/Suzanne leading the dance floor in a super fun, follow along African Dance segment. Monette Marino and precussionists provided the accompaniment and the dance floor let loose! The entire Happy Hour was one big unity groove-a-thon, and we were so thankful!!

Moving & grooving into the Fall... we had a couple of awesome Belly Up Happy Hours featuring Guest Fly Girlz from recent school fundraisers plus weddings, corporate events, a street festival, halloween parties and more! Our Oct. 1 Belly Up Happy Hour showcased Julia & Rachelle (from OPE fundraiser) on Oct. 1 and Doris (from TPHS fundraiser) on Oct. 22. These Guest FGz worked really hard and got a taste of how being a Fly Girl isn't quite as easy as it looks (and they only danced a couple of songs, mind you!)... but they all had a great time, we're super fun to work with, had stellar performances and had such a crowd there to support them, whoo-hoo! Other shows of note include a beautiful wedding at The La Jolla Hilton Torrey Pines, a multi-cultural street festival, an 800 person off-the-hook corporate event on the USS Midway (see
testimonial) and a repeat rockin' Halloween party. For AG, it was Rock-tober, for sure!

Ok, summer's over and the sun here in San Diego just never really got it's groove on. BUT, Atomic Groove did some shining on some great shows on this last lil bit of summer.
We returned to the glorious, always fun, outdoor family Twilight Concert Series at Powerhouse Park in Del Mar, closing out their summer concert season with a big Atomic Groove bang.
We had a SUPER turnout, which did indeed include an actual sunset, not seen much the entire summer by beach goers in San Diego. We must admit, when the entire park let out an overly exuberant wild cheer it took us AG peeps a second to realize that this particular cheer wasn't for us (tho we had many throughout the show, yes indeedy) but it was for the most spectacular sunset. Well, who can compete with Mother Nature, eh? Other Sept. highlights include an awesome special Belly Up Tavern Happy Hour that included a meet & greet of the peeps from DSC/JackFM radio team. Those folks were sooooo nice, their fans were a hoot, and they talked us up on the radio about how fun the Happy Hour was the next couple of on-air shows. Nice! We also got back to our fave "down south" dance club, the Humphrey's Backstage Niteclub and ended the month with a Golf Club Tournament dinner dance that got many Santaluz-ans whipped up into an Atomic G dance frenzy like no other golf tourney event they ever had! A perfect end to a very busy, groove-ful AG summer!

Summer is sizzling with some really fired up audiences for Atomic Groove. ...The ALS Fundraiser was absolutely rockin' and SUCH a love fest of support for honoree "Godfather" Mike. A full house, alotta $ donated and a completely jam packed dance floor made this benefit extra special, it was such a pleasure to be a part of this event! Next, our first of two Happy Hours at The Belly Up was a jam-a-thon of fun and the very next nite we did one of the most FUNNEST weddings for bride Lacy and groom Dave-wow! Lacy and her bridesmaid Fly Girlz surprised everybody with a pre-rehearsed performance on stage with the band, and the crowd went wild! Well, this crowd was pretty wild all nite, truth be told! Another highlight included our annual "Back To School" Special Happy Hour, featuring the AG Fly School Girlz, always a great way to end the end summer, School of Rock-style! Summertime and the groovin' is easy!

Well, the sun is no where to be found in San Diego but AG is ALL over the place! A couple Belly Up Happy Hours, 3 outdoor family concerts (Carmel Valley, Pt. Loma, Encinitas) a post Del Mar Opening Day at The Races Belly Up party and kickin' 50th b-day party and more! Having a great summer so far, the groovin' has never been better and keeping things HOT!

Summer is coming!! And that means the summer parties and the summer outdoor concerts shall begin! We did a couple of superduper smokin' hot Belly Up Happy Hours, even though it wasn't very summer-like, weather-wise. Our Country Club Country-Themed show was reprised from last year, met with the same yeehaw, rootin & tootin', groovin' good time . And we spread our AG sunshine at the most funnest outdoor musical festival in North County, the fabulous Fiesta del Sol, appearing for the 3rd year in a row (our 4th altogether in our AG history)... this FDS performance featured the awesomely talented and beautiful Li'l Fly Girlz (daughters of real AG Fly Girlz) and they, of course, completely stole the show, those cute li'l ladies! AG is so looking forward to a spectacular summer, groovin' all sorts of events all summer long with
all sorts of fun peeps!

Merry, merry month of May... weddings, parties, company events, A Happy Hour- and, oh yes, a Belly Up Tavern Saturday Nite Headliner, too! An AG first, whoo-hoo!
One of the weddings in beautiful La Jolla was a huge smash hit, see the brides testimonial, the dance floor was crazy packed all nite! The company party was a repeat and and even bigger success than the last time we did it in 2008, check that
testimonial, too. Fun! Our Belly Up Happy Hour was a typical superduper blast, and our headliner was a hoot, so rockin' and so--- late! Well, compared to our early bird Happy Hours, that is. The school fundraiser was awesome, so many people in the audience we knew, always makes for an over-the-top fun time. Summer's lookin' good!

We marched into March with some groovin' events, almost all of them fundraisers, so happy to help spread some good karma around! Our Belly Up Happy Hour was another packed house, nearly as full as our record breaker Happy Hour attendance in February. What a totally fun time with our Audience Fly Girl participation dance beign preformed that nite! Over 50+ galz came to rehearsals for a couple weeks and learned the routine to BPE "I Gotta Feelin' (AG version)" and "performed" on the jam packed dance floor that nite... go see it on
YouTube, it was so unbelievably awesome!! Smooches and Muwahs to all who participated! Shout Outs and thanks to all the folks who asked us to be a part of their fundraisers including the very special and heartfelt PAC Of Angels Benefit for Alex Capozza, with all attendees dressed in angelic white to support The Capozza's and The Jenna Druck Foundation. Plus all of the other fundraising that was all about the kids, which included OPE, OLG, TPHS and SBLL- now, that's alot of acronyms! Plus, we got to visit our favorite downtown nitelcub, Humphrey's By The Bay, and had a realllly fun time with a really groovin' crowd! That's March Madness, Atomic Groove-style!

WOW! Our biggest hi-lite of Feb., no of 2010, no of EVER, was our near capacity (just under 600) person crowd for our Happy Hour at the Belly Up Tavern of this month! We broke our own personal record of 375 and broke The Belly Up's Happy Hour attendance record, too! What a total blast! A packed house with really awesome energy, unbelievable! The band stepped it up more than usual and Carrie & the Fly Girlz performed their hearts out, complete in Valentine Themed attire and all. At 7p it felt like a Saturday nite @ 11p+, totally ragin' in a totally Good Feelin' kind of way. We had our sign ups for "Be An Audience Fly Girl" experience for the March show as well as a raffle drawing for a chance to "Be An On Stage Guest Fly Girl" for the April show, everyone was psyched about that! Other show of note was the Mardi Gras Fundraiser at The Torrey Pines Hilton in La Jolla, where we donned silly Mardi Gras attire and got the crowd pumped up with some really festive energy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! And HAPPY B-DAY TO AG, 15 years young! Our best January hi-lite def was our ragin' Happy Birthday Happy Hour at the Belly Up! We were "born" in January 1995, so we're ripe in teenager-dom! We had balloons, presents, the singing of happy b-day AND cupcakes! Yes, cupcakes, really! And we passed 'em out to the audience so everybody got some AG yum! AND they were made by one of our fabby Fly Girlz, Jen, with
a lot of AG love! Another show of mention in January was a super swanky Gala for the SD Opera, their annual dinner dance after the first opera of the season. We donned our tuxy formal attire and covered the entire spectrum of music, from classic jazz to
motown to disco to.... well, yes, we even rocked this swanky crowd with some Black Eyed Peas! So far, 2010
is super groovy!!!
