Atomic Groove was so very blessed and grateful for our very busy holiday season, especially considering the current not-so-jolly economic "situation" we're all experiencing. Though we did have cancellations on a couple of large company holiday parties, we still managed to have a very Merry and Bright December, full of holiday cheer and lots of groovin'! We are especially pleased to report that our "First Annual Atomic Groove Christmas Show" at The Belly Up was a giant hit, especially since it was such a last minute pull together (this show was thrown together to step in for one of those company cancellations for us AND the Belly Up!). Even in hard times, history shows that people want to still get out and have a good time- so we'll be seeing YOU for some special stress-busting groovin' real soon. Here's to a more prosperous 2009 for all- and much appreciation to you for your support of AG this year and throughout the years!

November 2008
A 50th b-day party for our good friend Duncan (husband of honorary band manager, Mary, see
Sept.
photos), in a beautiful Rancho Santa Fe home (gracious friends of Duncan & Mary) on this brisk November eve. The crowd got warmed up and started rockin' as did The Man of The Nite with some crowd pleasin', on the mic antics that brought a smile to everyone's face! What a fun bunch of people celebrating 50 years of fun with Duncan with Atomic Groove!
October 18
This 60s/70s fundraiser in Rancho Santa Fe sported guests in retro garb (we've never seen so many white boots in one place!), including the entire Atomic Groove tye-dyed band! Fly Girlz Jana & Dawn Go-Go-ed like the real thing and Singer Carrie was totally groovy with flashy mini-skirt and disco attitude. We honored the music from the 60s & 70s and kept the dance floor pumpin' with old school favorites, with lots of twisting & shouting and shakying of the booty til the very groovy, right on, far out end.
September 21
Arrrrrrrr! A first time appearance by The Oceanside Harbor Days (complete with Pirate theme!) inspired the mateys of Atomic Groove to share our treasure of groove to the good folks of Oceanside. Event organizers were so happy ter be havin' us perform (see testimonial) and we were happy ter be shakin' our (pirates) booty for this fine fine community event.

groovin'!
September 13
A jam packed dance floor at the Caitlin/Lees wedding in beautiful Del Mar. Bride and Groom, along with friends and family, kept movin' & groovin' all nite long... with the bride exclaiming afterwards "Everyone said this is the best wedding they've ever been to!!" We had fun, too, getting this dance-friendly group all riled up was an absolute pleasure.
August 29
Another Gold Star Happy Hour at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, this one with a "Back to School Special" theme, complete with Carrie and The AG School (Fly) Girlz. We schooled everyone on how to ROCK, and the Girlz of AG got school girl silly, just see our photo Good School Girl photo versus our Rockin' School Girl photo! Our 200+ person crowd all get A++ for being SUCH an exemplary audience... they got along well with others, showed initiative, get extra credit for above average enthusiasm AND the dance floor had perfect attendance for every song!!!
August 27
We were ON FIRE in San Francisco for the our favorite company Intuit for their Leadership Conference! We opened up with some hot salsa for this "I'm not too sure if they'll dance" (so they said) crowd and the dance floor stayed hoppin' all nite long! Carrie and two Fly Girlz (Jen & Dawn) shown here posing their best Charlie's Angels pose (for no particular reason except for the Silly Factor), and the entire Atomic Groove Band rocked the house to the very last encore!
August 16
Another Family Fun Concert, this time for the good people of the homey hometown of in San Elijo Hills on Aug. 16! They had to have us back (we were there to groove 'em in '06!), and boy, was it a fun one! Carrie and The Fly Girlz got the kids and adults dancing up a storm, with many pre-teen Fly Girlz In Training in the audience, picking up on the Fly Girl choreography and bustin' it! The kids took over the stage for a bit and that was a thrill for everyone in the park, cuz everyone wanted to "Rock and Roll All
Nite"!!!
August 12
AG was asked (again!) to play at Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's b-day party/fundraiser in August, this time in a beautiful residence in beautiful Rancho Santa Fe. We played for The Govenator 2 years ago and we're so tickled he wanted us back! We played the perfect blend of background, toe-tappin', groovy, waiting-for-the-speech music that seemed to please everyone at this upscale
event!
July 18
Our show at the Belly Up Tavern on Friday, July 18 was slammin'! A great summer Happy Hour with lots of energy and a special guest dance appearance by the incredible "Fusion", world class dancer and choreographer. Take a look at the clip for a peek of his amazing performance!
